R. MADRIGAL

  There are countless reasons to pay homage to a Man of his stature, sure the list could go on for days. Those who know him, need no description of his character.  He goes by many names, & wears an assortment of hats & uniforms. An active participant in the his community, as well as a philanthropist. A heart as big as a kick drum, & wrath to boot. He wakes with the hustle of a thousand immigrants. Failure was never an option. So it is with great delight that I wish you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIR!

  Over the years I was blessed to be able to work with Ronnie on any given project, including T.E.B.  I believe it was about a year ago that he dropped by to see a fat old man.  The METAL used to come in droves, but in my latter years I explored different worlds. The UKULELE! I'm sure he would prefer the METAL, but was always generous enough to indulge me. On this particular visit I had a very abstract piece. The intro was a melodic lullaby I would sing to new born Son. The body of the song, was a detachment, to say the least. I remember showing him one of my favorite compositions in the world. The theme music to the HBO feature "Six Feet Under". There are instruments in this song that I cannot even identify, but am amazed by. Basically, indicating to him a "FEEL", rather than a set percussive rhythm. I gave him the sticks and queued him up. He ran through the changes a couple of times and the rest is history.
